Taryn Rioseco, Founder
Taryn is a Childbirth, Postpartum, Parenting Educator and Coach. She is also a certified Hand in Hand Parenting Instructor. Taryn founded Here We Grow after becoming a parent and discovering the lack of support for new and growing families. Taryn is passionate about bringing women and families together to learn, feel supported and thrive in their parenting. For more than 7 years, her courses have been delivered live and virtually in Los Angeles and around the world. Taryn recently relocated from Los Angeles to Atlanta with her husband and their 2 children.
More about Taryn:
Taryn spent the first half of her life as a musical theatre performer until discovering a true love for working with children. Combining her two greatest passions, Taryn set off to pursue a career as a Drama Teacher. She graduated from Boston’s Emerson College with a BFA in Musical Theatre and Theatre Education and then spent the next 5 years as a Middle School Drama Teacher and Director in Westfield, NJ. Taryn took her work in the theatre to the next level and joined the outstanding Tony-award winning team at GFour Productions (an east coast based professional theatre production company). Throughout her 7 years there she wore many hats ranging from Producer to Marketing Coordinator to Group Sales Director. She had the opportunity and honor of working on shows like Broadway’s “9 to 5” and “Ring of Fire” as well as the international sensation “Menopause The Musical” among others.
In 2009, after the arrival of her first child, Taryn's career took a fairly dramatic turn. Taryn was blessed to have a beautiful unmedicated/midwife-attended hospital birth in Berkeley where she welcomed her daughter, Eden. Throughout her pregnancy and into the postpartum period, Taryn felt called to teach and support expecting and new mamas and families in some capacity. Studying under the amazing Ana Paula Markel of L.A.’s BINI Birth and starting her career as Doula and Childbirth Educator, she decided to pursue the birth-of-her-dreams in 2012 when she and husband Eddy welcomed their son Bodhi in their own home.
Throughout the past 7 years, Taryn has participated in numerous trainings and workshops that have led her to be incredibly well-versed and resourceful in the birth, parenting and early childhood fields. She is a proud former co-leader of the national nonprofit Holistic Moms Network where she organized monthly meetings on a variety of green/natural living topics for a community of 60+ families for 2 years.
Taryn is thrilled to be following her heart and pursuing such a passionate vision with the opening of Here We Grow.
